Just thinking the other day..........If it were'nt for the Allman Brothers ........would we all know each other?????? The answer to that is no!
First of all .....we wouldn't know Lana........and that is a thought I don't care to think about!!We wouldn't have met Rowland, and that would be a crime!!
Would any of us really travel all over the country to see any other bands?? I know I wouldn't.
Just think of some of the people we have all met in the last few years........Karen and Lynn,
David Stoltz, Easy Micheal, Ron Everhart, Billie Hollems,Lee Silby, tattooNeil,Jeff Koch, Matt Barranti and his band just to name a very few.
Speaking of Matt, We actually (my hubby and I) met Matt at (of all places)a Gregg Allman & Friends Show in Pittsburgh in 1999.
So ......we've met people from Canada, Mass.,Pa.,North Carolina, Florida, California,Virginia, so far ,that I can think of off the top of my head, and some of these pepole have turned out to be life long friends.
What other band can be responsible for such a huge aspect of our lives????????I honestly can't think of one!! Am I predjudice?????No ,just a devoted fan who appreciates the fact that we are lucky enough to have been in this huge, but, close circle.
It all goes back to my original thought.......If it wasn't for the Allman Brothers......would we all know each other.....and like I said.......that answer is a profounding NO!!
Thank you Duane Allman and the Allman Brothers!
Just a thought I had the other day.
